SPRINGDALE — Betty Mae Council, 73, of Springdale died Oct. 1, 2007, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born June 10, 1934, in Fort Sam Houston, Texas, to to Don C. and Laura Ladone Nicholson Berkley. She was a housekeeper for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Council.
Survivors include three daughters, Chris Hagen of Greenwood, Donna Hagen of Olean, Mo., Vicki Benedict of Springdale; one son, Jim Hagen of Springdale; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grand-children, three great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale with Dickie Spears officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville, www.beardsfuneralchapel.com.
