GARFIELD — Robert Wayne Moon, was born on Jan. 21, 1931, son of James Madison Moon and Effie Jane (Baker) Moon. He passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, June 29, 2018, at 87 years of age.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War. He was a skilled carpenter throughout his lifetime. He attended Beaver Lake Baptist Church for 45-plus years. He loved playing his guitar and singing.

On March 27, 1954, he was united in marriage to June Sybleleen (Harley) Moon, who survives him.

He is survived by his sons, Jerry Moon and wife Debbie, Alan Moon and wife Patty; daughters, Joy Amann and husband Butch, Jane Foster, Paula Moon; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Sellars, Joyce Catron, Erma Helms and her husband Bob, Bonnie Sheppard; numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Paul Moon; his sisters Edith Pollock, Carolyn Mahurin, Becky Skidmore and Mildred Kavanagh.

Visitation was Monday, July 2, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Nelson's Chapel of the Springs in Eureka Springs. Funeral service was 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at the Beaver Lake Baptist Church in Eureka Springs, with Pastor Mike Mercer officiating. Interment will follow at the Reddick Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.

Memorial donations can be sent to St. Jude Children's Research, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend, June Sybleleen (Harley) Moon, 85, passed away on June 22, 2019. She was born on April 6, 1934 to James Benjamin and Jewel (Pippin) Harley in Nottinghill, Missouri and grew up in a loving and tight knit family with eight siblings. She loved to cook for family and friends and no one went hungry. She enjoyed music with her husband Wayne and loved to play card games with her family.

June married Robert Wayne Moon on March 27, 1954 and they shared 64 happy years together before he passed away on June 29, 2018. He was the love of her life and she had been searching for him ever since. Their lives were full of music, love and hard work as they raised their five children. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne Moon and her siblings, Gladys (& Carl) Henry, Coral (& Don) Gullett, Thelma (& Jerry) Platt, Charleen (& Clifford) Meyers, Clinton (& Rebe) Harley.

Survivors are five children, Jerry (Debbie) Moon of Garfield, Joy (Butch) Amann of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Jane Foster of Garfield, Paula Moon of Aurora, Missouri, and Alan (Patty) Moon of Bentonville; siblings, Helen (& James) Brown of Eureka Springs, Deloris Garrett of Kansas City and Gary Harley of Costa Rica; fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Service is set for 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 27 at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ruddick Cemetery in Garfield.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
