When Florence I. Watkins was born on December 28, 1908, in DeWitt, Arkansas, her father, Harrison, was 31, and her mother, Lora, was 24. She had one daughter with in 1926. She died on December 2, 2001, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, at the age of 92, and was buried there.
