When William E Cofer was born on February 1, 1878, in Nicholas, West Virginia, his father, William, was 42 and his mother, Agnes, was 33. He married Bell Riggins on August 12, 1903, in White, Arkansas. They had four children in 11 years. He died on January 3, 1924, in White, Arkansas, at the age of 45.
