Dorothy Hackler Oswalt of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at the age of 82 years. She was born March 13, 1930, in Dierks, Ark., to parents Earl Dawson and Beatrice (Bohannon) Dawson.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands; Hugh Edward Hackler and Col. Barney Oswalt. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Horton and husband, Dr. Joe Horton, of Fayetteville, Ark., Dr. Anne Langley and husband, Larry, of Benton, Ark.; four grandchildren, Douglas Horton and wife, Jennifer, of Fayetteville, Ark., Allison Horton Adams and husband, Anthony, of Fayetteville, Ark., Sarah and Mason Langley of Benton, Ark.; one great-granddaughter, Brianna Adams.

Visitation will be on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, from 2-4 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, 4520, North Crossover Road, Fayetteville, Ark. Graveside services are 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at Mountain Home Cemetery, Mountain Home, Ark., with Dr. Gary Renegar of Fayetteville and Sandra Storment of Little Rock speaking.
