Mabel Mae

Mabel Mae (Ransom) Bryant, 87, of Bradford, passed away at home Monday, October 28, 2019. She was born December 13, 1931 in Denmark, Arkansas. Mabel was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved watching her grandkids, gardening, and baking pies (coconut cream). She was an avid watcher of John Wayne movies. She enjoyed swinging on the front porch watching the hummingbirds, sewing quilts or other pieces, square dancing, and crocheting. Mabel was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Leon (Winningham) Shaver; husband, Oran Maurice Bryant (Buster); and sister, Wilma Shaver. Left to cherish Mabel’s memory are her six children, Linda (Harold) Bliss of Houghton, Lake Michigan, Norma Sexton of Bradford, Florene Kimberling of Bradford, Billy (Tommie) Bryant of Bradford, Beverly (Stony) Beemen of Bradford, and Rita Gilliam of Davidson, Michigan; two children she helped raise, Bobby and Janet; one brother, JR (Gracie) Shaver of California; nine grandchildren, Micheal Bryant, Allen Kimberling, Steven Sexton, Carletta Wallace, Dawn Steele, Tina James, Timothy Bryant, Jamie Scritchfield, and Mitchell Gilliam; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other family members as well as extended family members. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Allen Kimberling, Zach Kimberling, Jamie Scritchfield, Steven Sexton, Micheal Bryant, Timothy Bryant, and Mitchell Gilliam. Honorary pallbearers are Micheal Ray Bryant, Jacob Kimberling, David Wallace II, David Allen Kimberling II, Brantley Steele, Tyler Bryant, Byron Bryant, and Gavin James. Visitation will be held Friday, November 1, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Bradford Memorial Funeral Home. Services Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 10 am at the Crossroads Church of Christ with Bro. Shane Blevins officiating. Interment will follow at Smith Cemetery, Arrangements entrusted to Bradford Memorial Funeral Home of Bradford, Arkansas. www.bradfordmemorial.com
