Billie Joyce Britton, age 82 of Judsonia, died Thursday, December 12, 2013 in Searcy. She was born August 2, 1931 at Reno, Arkansas to William H. Downey and Geneva Ann Gilley Downey. She is survived by nine children, Patricia Martin, Charles Britton, Kathy Rouse and husband Jimmy, Sam Britton and wife Linda, Cynthia Lee and husband Michael, all of Judsonia, Kim Jones, Theresa Larkins and husband Doug, Mark Britton and wife Julie, all of Searcy, Joseph Britton and wife Becky of Jefferson City, Missouri; 35 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Geneva Downey; daughter, Linda Davis; son, Michael Britton; and four infant sons, Marvin Ray, Billy Ray, Paul Jeffrey and Adam. Visitation is Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Providence Cemetery.
