November 27, 1922 - January 1, 2018
Bill Cross, 95, of Camden, AR died Monday, January 1, 2018 at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II having served in the Army. Mr. Cross was a kind and gentle man who enjoyed the great outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing.
Mr. Cross was preceded in death by his parents, Allen T. and Bertha Ingle Cross, his brother, Buele N. “Pete” Cross and his sister, Geraldine Steed. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Lynn Cross of Camden, two daughters, Patricia Daniel of Zephyrhills, FL and Debra Kaye Wheelington and her husband Dale of Smackover, AR. He is also survived by grandsons, Roger Wheelington of El Dorado, AR, Ryan Wheelington and wife Michelle of Smackover, AR and Jon Nathan Daniel and his fiancee’ Shannon Parker of Evans, GA, a grandaughter, JonAnne Jameson and her husband Ashley of Wesley Chapel, FL, great-grandchildren, Dawson Wheelington, Brooklyn Wheelington and Hope Wheelington and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, KS 66675-8517.
