James (R.J.) Hulsey, 54, of Springdale died March 3 at Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 6, 1934, in Searcy the son of William Carroll and Ida Mae Fisk Hulsey. He was a Protestant and was vice president of Arkansas Tri County Citizens Band Radio Association. He was former truck driver for Arkansas Transit Co. and served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He moved to Springdale 28 years ago from Harrison.

Survivors include his wife, Lula Hulsey of the home; four sons, James Kenneth Hulsey, Billy Ray Hulsey, Gary Joe Hulsey and Jerry Gene Hulsey, all of Springdale; one daughter, Kathy Burks of Springdale; four brothers, Roy Martin of Harrison, Burl Martin of Chicago, Coy Gene Hulsey of Visalia, Calif., and Carl Hulsey Jr. of Jefferson City, Mo.; one sister, Barbara McCutcheon of Western Grove; his father, William Hulsey of Visalia; and his mother, Ida Mae Martin of Western Grove.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sisco Chapel of Springdale with the Rev. Jim Collins officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

SPRINGDALE — Lula Belle Hulsey, 77, of Springdale died Friday, Aug. 2, 2013. at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born Feb. 2, 1936, in Jasper, Ark., to Ewin and Zora Henderson Taylor.

Lula Belle worked at Baldwin for 20 years and MHC Kenworth for 20 years. She retired in 2003. Lula Belle was an avid bowler. She was secretary of the Springdale WBA for over 20 years. She was the Secretary for the Tuesday Go Getters League for over 25 years. She was inducted into the Springdale USBC Hall of Fame in 2009. She participated in Arkansas State Womens Tournaments for 35 years.

She also enjoyed bingo, sports, casinos in Las Vegas and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband. James Robert Hulsey; one son, James Kenneth Hulsey; two brothers, Calvin and Charlie Taylor and one sister, Vergie Ramey.

Survivors include three sons, Billy Ray Hulsey and wife Yvonne, Gary Joe Hulsey and wife Melody and Jerry Gene Hulsey and wife Traci all of Springdale; one daughter, Kathy Burkes and husband Gary of Springdale; one daughter-in-law, Jamie Hulsey of Fayetteville; two brothers, Alvin Taylor and wife Jeanette of Jerome, Idaho and Paul Taylor of Missouri; one sister, Wanda Jenkins of Harrison, Ark.; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and many extended close friends.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
