Martha Ellen Boyce, 79, of Bald Knob, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at her home. She was born January 18, 1934 in Russell a daughter of the late William and Alice Elliott. Mrs. Boyce was a member of the Rocky Point Baptist Church and was a devout Christian lady and minister's wife. She had also taught Sunday School for many years. She was retired from General Industries in Bald Knob and was the widow of Jack Boyce who preceded her in death in 2007.
She is survived by her sons, Jack Boyce (Tina) of Bald Knob and Zack Rambo (Lacey) of Cotton Plant; daughters, Suzanne Pitts of Batesville, Jeannie Turner (Steve) and Ellen Massey all of Bald Knob; grandchildren, Matt Boyce (Rochelle), Alice Boyce, Jerry Massey (Amanda), Andrew Massey (Demetria), Jacob Turner and Jack Turner; Great-grandchildren, McKenzie Massey, Lynnley Massey, Landon Siler, Jacob, Joey and John Paul Armstrong and Mason Sherman; brothers, Carl Elliott and Charlie Elliott both of Bald Knob; sisters, Ann Ida Buckner, Betty Chestnut and Velma Durfee all of Bald Knob.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Powell Funeral home. Graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Velvet Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
