Mrs. Dora Lee Sampley Smith, age 92, of Michigan, formerly of Forrest City, died Monday in Little Rock. She had been in poor health for the past several years.
Mrs. Smith was born March 15, 1918, in Newcastle, Arkansas, and was the daughter of David Fletcher Sampley and Eunice Roberts Sampley. She lived for over fifty years in Forrest City and was the original owner of Smith's Flower Shop.
Mrs. Smith married Bern R. Smith in 1951, and he preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by two sons; Richard Smith, and wife, Lori, of Michigan, and Vance Smith of Forrest City, one sister, Willene Ramsey, and husband, Frank, of Memphis, one grandson, Mike Smith, and wife, Ashley, of Hernando, Mississippi, one granddaughter, Heather Sanders of Michigan, and one great-grandson, Gavin Smith.
Services for Mrs. Smith will be held Graveside, 10:00 A.M., Friday, at the Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City. Visitation will be Thursday evening 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
