Carrie ''Lorene'' Scheer, 96, of Searcy, passed away on February 12, 2018. She was born on December 20, 1921 to Rupert and Mary Hill in Opal, Arkansas. She retired from the manufacturing industry in California to return to Arkansas and remained here until the time of her death. She was a member of Saint James Catholic Church in Searcy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman Scheer; two brothers, Bill Tom and Dean Hill; three sisters, Mary Bernice Weatherford, Melba Manasco and Thelma Ray.
Mrs. Scheer is survived by one sister, Jane Payne (Bill) of Dardanelle, Arkansas and one sister-in-law, Willa Dean Hill of Silsbee, Texas. She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews and two step-daughters.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Searcy, Arkansas with visitation at 1:00 PM.
