Ada Belle Johnston was born on February 28, 1895, in Lepanto, Arkansas. She married Charles Elbert, Jr Byler on January 30, 1918. They had one child during their marriage. She died on August 20, 1982, in her hometown at the age of 87.

When Charles Elbert, Jr Byler was born on August 27, 1887, in Ripley, Tennessee, his father, William, was 34 and his mother, Frances, was 29. He married Ada Belle Johnston on January 30, 1918. They had one child during their marriage. He died on September 23, 1947, in Poinsett, Arkansas, at the age of 60, and was buried in Lepanto, Arkansas.
