When Andrew Jackson Starr was born on October 21, 1858, in Conway, Arkansas, his father, James, was 29 and his mother, Gelina, was 19. He married Mary E Starr on December 16, 1882, in Pope, Arkansas. They had nine children in 21 years. He died on April 19, 1943, in Pulaski, Arkansas, at the age of 84, and was buried in Mayflower, Arkansas.
