When Mary E. (Molly) Patrick was born in July 1862 in Mississippi, her father, James, was 26, and her mother, Emily, was 17. She married William Sausen in 1889. She then married William Newton Sansom and they had nine children together. She died on November 9, 1915, in Mayflower, Arkansas, at the age of 53, and was buried there.
