Reverend William Amos Patrick, 75, of Mayflower, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas. William was born in Mayflower, Arkansas to Barnell and Otha Patrick on January 29, 1939. He was a man of many accomplishments that lived life to the fullest.
William was co-valedictorian of Mayflower high, where he played varsity basketball and baseball. After graduation he attended Arkansas Teacher's College (UCA) where he played baseball and basketball while earning a BS. He also served in the Air National Guard and later earned his Masters degree. Reverend Patrick began teaching at Mayflower, where he would later become principal.

In 1970, William became mayor of Mayflower at age 30. He was listed in Who's Who in America and Personalities of the South. As mayor, Reverend Patrick annexed Lake Conway, built Mayflower high school football field, and implemented the water system.
In 1972 William established the Mayflower Jaycees. In 1974 he became national spokesman for the Jaycees travelling to all 50 states.
In 1975 Reverend Patrick started Christian school in Maumelle, Arkansas. In 1976 he began developing an ESL program which he would later use in various countries.
From 1977 to 1986 reverend Patrick was the principal on Northside Christian Academy in Fort Smith, Arkansas. In 1984 Reverend Patrick became an international worker in São Paulo, Brazil. In 1987 Reverend Patrick worked for Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, MN, establishing a grade school for the college and community. 1991-1992 found him developing a Christian school in Belarus.
In 1993 Reverend Patrick founded Capital City Christian Academy in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He also developed an ESL Center/Church in Paraguay. 1997 was the year he started Christian schools in Poland and Athens, Greece.

From 2003-2014 Reverend Patrick was principal of Community Christian Academy in California.

Reverend Patrick's greatest joy was helping others to believe in themselves and to become successful. He achieved his goal by blessing and inspiring thousands of lives around the globe. Reverend Patrick was an accomplished person that blessed and inspired the lives of thousands.
Reverend Patrick is survived by his loving wife Myrtle of 54 years, His daughter Nancy and son in law Jesse Reddoch of California, son Ronald Patrick and his wife Sheril, son Donald Patrick, grandchildren Miranda Walden, Lauren Rantisi, Jessica Reddoch, Staci Pollard, Lexi Patrick, Tyler Patrick, Mike'l Patrick, Miranda Todd, and Hudson Patrick and great grandchildren Ava and Emma Walden and Brooklyn and Branson.

William was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jim Patrick.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral home, 801 Eighth Ave. Conway, Arkansas. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday April 9, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Mayflower, AR with burial in Mayflower Cemetery with Rev. James Lumpkin, Jr. and Rev. Terry Shock officiating.
