Bobbye Jean Burgess, 79, of Greenbrier, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2007. She was born December 11, 1927 in Greenbrier, to the late Royce Merritt and Pauline Glover Merritt. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Arkansas Education Association and was a retired school teacher. She is survived by her husband of sixty one years, Rev. Cecil H. Burgess of Greenbrier; sons, Mike H. Burgess and wife Karen of Bryant, David R. Burgess of Princeton, TX; five grandchildren, Kim, Kathy, Jackie, Bart, Ben; five great grandchildren; brother, Preston Merritt of Greenbrier; sisters Glenna Wilkerson of Batesville, Mary Reed of Sherwood. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Pastor Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
