Jesse R Schreckhise, 71 years old, of Alma, Arkansas died Tuesday, October 10, 1967 at the veterans hospital at Fayetteville, Arkansas following a long illness. Born May 16, 1896 at St Catherine, Missouri, Mr Schreckhise was the son of Henry and Sadie Bell Hungate Schreckhise. He was a retired coal miner and veteran of World War One. Survivors are his wife, Mary Elizabeth; sons George Henry, Faxon F, pastor of United Pentecostal church of Alma,Arkansas, Robert also of Alma, James, Jack and Roy Leonard, all of Kansas City, Kansas; daughters, Margaret of Big Springs, Texas, Roberta of Paramount, California Mrs Reese of Great Falls, Montana, Lula of Alma and Barbara of Kansas City, brother Virgil of Washington State; sister Oma of New Cameron, Missouri; half-Brothers Joe of Elgin, Illinois, and Frank of Rockford, Illinois; 43 grand -children and 17 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons served as casket bearers.
