Audra Langston Hardy Hamm, 90, of Greenbrier, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Greenbrier Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born on Nov. 6, 1919, in Greenbrier, to the late William Madison and Rebecca Shaw Langston.

She is preceded in death by husbands, Silburn Hardy, John Hudman and Gerald Hamm; sisters, Mary Herring, Menter Dickens, Ida Mae Wofford and Zora Spears; and one precious great-granddaughter, Mattison Leigh Clark.

Audra was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

She loved her family and friends very much and spent her life caring for others.

She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed traveling and was happiest when surrounded by loved ones.

She was a beautiful woman both inside and out and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She is survived by two sisters, Bernice Burgess of Greenbrier and identical twin and best friend Vauda Tamporello of New Orleans.

She is also survived by three children: daughters, Charlotte Roberts and husband Danny, and Sharon Burnett and husband Carlton and son, Jim Hardy and wife Mary Jane, all of Greenbrier; six grandchildren, Robin Clark, George Roberts, Stephanie Overton, Heather Whitley, Chad Reynolds and Holly Keelin; nine great-grandchildren, Danielle Higgins, Chase and Gavin Roberts, Taylor Reynolds, Meredith, Molly and Susan Overton and Morgan and Meghan Colclasure; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Audra’s family sends special thanks to the staff at Greenbrier Nursing and Rehab for the loving care given to their mother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Greenbrier with Bro. Larry Geraldson and Bro. Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery with her grandchildren serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. tonight at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Audra Anna Langston married John Clarence Hudman in Bowie, Texas, on December 10, 1977, when she was 58 years old.

When Troy Silburn Hardy was born on September 16, 1918, in Arkansas, his father, Waverly, was 21 and his mother, Fannie, was 17. He had one brother and one sister. He died on November 12, 1970, in Faulkner, Arkansas, at the age of 52, and was buried in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
