When William Thomas Clements was born on February 3, 1887, in Wooster, Arkansas, his father, Thomas, was 36 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 27. He married Berthel "Birtie" Viola (true spelling) Langston Clements on March 20, 1912, in Faulkner, Arkansas. They had five children in 10 years. He died on September 3, 1955, in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 68, and was buried in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
