When William Pierce Batson was born on August 22, 1889, in Wooster, Arkansas, his father, James, was 31 and his mother, Asenath, was 31. He married Mary Alma Patton on October 1, 1911, in Faulkner, Arkansas. They had five children in 19 years. He died on July 14, 1965, in Faulkner, Arkansas, at the age of 75, and was buried in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
