Malva M. Tomlinson, 87, of Houston, TX passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013. He was born August 27, 1926, to Roy and Mary Ann Young Tomlinson in Hampton, AR.

He made his career with Texas Eastern Pipeline, where he retired as Vice-president. Malva was Governor of Ozark District Civitan Club, and was active with Toastmasters and El Dorado Masonic Lodge. Malva was appointed by Governor Bill Clinton as ambassador of Arkansas. After retirement, he worked for Milam Construction Company, and was a life-long member of First United Methodist Church in El Dorado.

Malva is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Eloise Tomlinson; brothers, First Lt. Maurice R. Tomlinson, Paul Eugene Tomlinson; and sister, Mrs. Murine Townsend.

Survivors include his daughter, Deborah Ann Tomlinson; son, Sonny Tomlinson, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Young's.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 31, 2013, in Young's Chapel, with Rev. Miles Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Primitive Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Memorial & Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66601-1653, or to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 North West 9th Ave., Miami, FL 33136.
