Maralyn Emmie Hutchens, 63, of Conway, went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 8, 2013. She was born on Sunday, May 1, 1949 in Shelby County, Tennessee to the late Gavin and Freda Seaman Torrance.
She was a homemaker who loved to bake and cook for her family. She loved to be around her family and take care of all her babies. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Scott Rutledge.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 45 years, Buford Hutchens; sons, Frankie (Carol) Hutchens and Kyle Hutchens all of Conway; daughter, Wanda “Sissy” Hutchens (Bryant Richardson) of Conway; sisters, Virginia Rutledge (Andy) of Mt. View, Elizabeth “Lib” Fraley (Joe) of Romance and Vicki Ussery (Greg) of Conway; brothers, Gavin “Big Boy” Torrance (Connie) of Mayflower and Ed Torrance (Lori) of Conway; grandchildren, Anthony Hutchens of Conway and Kailen Hutchens of Enola; a host of nieces and nephews; and her extended family, Malcolm, Brooke, Shelby and Reed Stone who started as neighbors and quickly became part of the family.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, February 11, 2013 in Crestlawn Memorial Park with Bro. Stephen Tanner officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway (501)327-7727. A celebration of Mrs. Hutchens' life will be immediately following at 8B Dakota Drive in Conway.
