Allie McBride, 91, of Ash Flat, was born November 30, 1923, to James Polk and Bertha Leona Watkins Lowery in Sitka, Ark. She passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at White River Medical Center in Batesville. Allie was an active resident of EagleCrest Nursing and Rehab Center where she had lived since November 28, 2005, and had served as Chair of the Resident Council and had won the local and district Queen pageants before being recognized as runnerup on the state level. She kept bingo organized for the residents and made many handcrafted items for friends and family.

Allie worked in law enforcement as the first Jail Matron in Sharp County for the Sheriff's office. She was a member of the Agnos Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Veda "Bonny" Lowery Davis, her brothers J. P., Levo "Pate" and Curtis, and her great-grandson, Adam Lane French.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna (Danny) Cruse of Hardy; granddaughters, Terri (John) French of Hardy and Tricia (Jeff) Jordan of Highland; great-grandchildren Morgan French Crawford, Colby, Dani, and Masen Jordan; great-great-grandchildren, Hadlynn Crawford and Hutson Butler; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, July 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. with funeral services on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel. Johnny Carter will officiate.

Pallbearers include Danny Cruse, John French, Jeff Jordan, Colby Jordan, Kyle Crawford, and Kevin King.

Honorary pallbearers are Morgan French Crawford, Dani Jordan, Masen Jordan, Hadlynn Crawford, Hutson Butler, Jimmy Counts, and Ernie Rose.

Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
