Serenaded by angels, Russell Davis, 68 of Alexander, went to be with his heavenly Father Tuesday, January 8, 2008. A sinner saved by grace, he was a believer of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a young man and was a retired truck driver.

Preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Doyle and Rachel Cheeks Davis; two brothers, D.H. Davis and Pete Davis; three nephews, Steven Nix, Otis Glasscock, Jr. and Harold Wayne Shreve.

Survived by his wife and soulmate of 35 years, Judy Davis, a daughter, Lisa and son-in-law, Brad Kitson; a granddaughter, Lindsey Hillman; three great nephews, Brandon, Peyton and Jayson Jett which he called his angels (he was their special "Uncle Russell & Homer"); four sisters, Flora Davis, Jean Glasscock and Nina Railey of Little Rock and Connie (Louis) Bramuccie of West Memphis. Numerous nieces and nephews, family members and friends, including three god-sons, Billy, Luke and Chris Yarberry and a special buddy, Johnny Kitson.

Graveside services were held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery at Conway with arrangements by: Friday at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home.
