Burle Louise Nutt Murphy, formerly of El Dorado, passed away at her home in Duncanville, Texas, on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014.
She was born Oct. 13, 1918, on the family farm near Tinsman to Walter and Tempie Nutt. She was 95.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace P. Murphy. She retired from a nursing career at Warner Brown Hospital and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her son, Paul Murphy (Linda) of Garland, Texas; daughters, Susan and Anna Murphy of Duncanville; granddaughter, Keri Murphy Peacock (Donald) of Mansfield, Texas; grandson, Terry Murphy (Mandy) of The Colony, Texas; great-granddaughter, Heather Peacock Garcia (Osvaldo) of Dallas; and great-grandson, Nicholas Peacock of Mansfield. She is also survived by step-grandsons, Wilbert Aaron (Mary) of San Antonio, Texas and Tommy Aaron (Deannah) of Levon, Texas; step-granddaughter, Lisa Aaron Foote (Jerry) of Sachse, Texas; step-great-grandchildren, Alex and Abbi Aaron (San Antonio), Kristin and Bridget Aaron of Lavon, William, JJ, Sarah, Jessie, Virginia and Katlyn Foote of Sachse, Texas; and step great-great-grandson, Flynn Foote of Lubbock, Texas.

A Celebration of Life service was held March 1, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church in Duncanville with the Rev. Ginger Hertenstein officiating. Interment service will be held at 10 a.m. today at Arlington Memorial Cemetery with Anna Murphy and Gerald Nutt officiating.
