Roy son of Leonard Lillard Luther and Ida Mary (Smith) Luther. Thelma (Puckett) Luther the daughter of Ace Puckett and Belva (McGown) Puckett.
Thelma Luther
HOXIE — Thelma “Big Sis” Luther, 84, of Hoxie passed away Monday.
Born Nov. 17, 1925, at Cash, she was the daughter of Ace and Belva Mc Gown Puckett. She was an avid gardener, homemaker and of the Jehovah’s Witnesses faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Luther; her parents; and two sons, Darrell and Orville Luther.
Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Latham of Portia, Rena Adams of Walnut Ridge and Rita Luther of Little Rock; two sons, Larry Luther of Hoxie and Glendon Luther of Pocahontas; a sister, Alta Jean Wilson of Jonesboro; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Service will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Bryan Chapel. Interment will be in Strangers Home Cemetery under the direction of the Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.
Visitation will be tonight from 6-8.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Legacy Hospice, 1056 1st Ave., Walnut Ridge 72476.
