Faye Imogene "Jean" Freeman Titsworth Thornton was born March 27, 1916, in Paris to Jeff and Elizabeth Cardin Freeman, the second of six children. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Gene Titsworth; her husbands, Gerald Titsworth and Bill Thornton; two brothers, John Paul and Quinton Freeman; and one sister, Gladys Marie "Jo Ann" Ockenfels.
She leaves behind a daughter, Barbara Chaffin-Peters; a sister, Elsie Cavender; a brother, Jeff Freeman; four grandchildren, Melissa Poretti, Melinda Markham, Trey Markham and Todd Titsworth. Five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jean lived a long life and was much loved by her family. She will be missed. There will be a family held memorial service on Saturday, May 7, at 2 p.m. at the Barling Methodist Church in Barling.
