Obituary
Georgia Kaye Schroeder, 81, of Ozark, Arkansas died Saturday, February 17, 2018 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was retired from the Franklin County Department of Human Services and was of the Nazarene faith. She was born July 27, 1936 in Osage, Oklahoma to Zenas and June Ellis Short. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Donald, Jack, and Jerry Short; and a sister, Janiece Winton.
Georgia is survived by two daughters, Debbie and Sandra Edgin both of Ozark; two sons, Jim Edgin of Ozark and Scott Schroeder and wife Marian of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three sisters, Norma Cochran of Emporia, Kansas, Beverly Warner of Rose Hill, Kansas, and Carol Cupp and husband Mick of Moore, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Jared Cagle, Jake Edgin and wife Nicole , Nathan Edgin and wife Jessi, Jamie Edgin, and John Weslee Edgin; five great-grandchildren, Grant, Maggie, Weston, Jacob, and Charlie; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 20th at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jeff Jackson officiating and a private family burial at Highland Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers are T.J. Morgan, Bill Yates, Lonnie Turner, Scott Chrisman, Todd Davis, Byron Lasiter, and Gary Briley.
