Mason Douglas Riddle, 90, of Baton Rouge, La., died there Thursday. He was born Aug. 29, 1889.
He came to Bentonville in 1903 and was a lifetime resident. He had been living in Baton Rouge for the last few years with his son. He was a retired cabinet maker and was a member of the American Legion of Bentonville and of the Forty and Eight. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Bentonville.
Mr. Riddle is survived by a son, Jim N. Riddle of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. Troy Holmes of Camp Wood, Tex. and Mary d'Gravell of Jennoung, La.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakley Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. William Rail, officiating. Memorials may be made to the Oakley Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Callison-McKinney of Bentonville.
