Mrs. Ollie O. Braswell, 84, of Marysville died at a local hospital at 2 p.m. Tuesday following a short illness. Mrs. Braswell was born in Marysville Feb. 13, 1880, the daughter of Major G. and Margaret Greer Jolley. She was a lifelong resident of Union County and a member of the Marysville Methodist Church. Survivors include five sons, Allen Braswell, Graham Braswell, Ivy Braswell, Pershing Braswell and Quentin Braswell, all of Marysville; three daughters, Mrs. B. E. Vinson, Mrs. D. W. Futtrell, both of Marysville, and Mrs. W. L. Hall of Lake Charles, La.; 24 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Marysville Methodist Church with the Rev. George R. Clary officiating. Burial was in the Marysville Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers were Felton Vinson, Harold Braswell, Maurice Vinson, Dorwin Vinson, Billy Raye Braswell and Roy Vinson. The body was taken to the home of Mrs. B. E. Vinson Tuesday. (The El Dorado Times - August 12, 1964)
