SPRINGDALE — Lola Lavelle Watkins, 78, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark.
She was born on Feb. 3, 1933, in Nob Hill, Ark., a daughter of Jolly and Nellie Graham. Lola worked in quality control for Allen Canning Co. and was a member of Church of Christ on Robinson Avenue in Springdale. She enjoyed fishing and being in the outdoors and mostly loved being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Eugene Graham and Bud Graham.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Donald Ray Watkins; two sons, Jeff Watkins of Prairie Grove, Ark., and Donald Glenn Watkins and wife, Jennifer, of Noel, Mo.; five grandchildren, Shana, Sebastian, Landon, Jeffery, and Zachary; two great-grandchildren; five brothers, Johnie Graham of Nob Hill, Ark., Cecil Graham. Paul Graham, Lawrence Graham and Joey Graham, all of Washington State; two sisters, Roberta Sizemore of Mob Hill, Ark., and Joyce Patterson of Anderson, Mo.; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Friday, April 8, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Springdale, with Minister Harry Fitzgerald officiating the service; committal service to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 7, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m.
