Marian F. (Strange) Beary the wife of J.T. Beary. Marian F. (Strange) Beary the daughter of Leslie Strange and Velma Strange.
Marian F. Beary, 69, of Sidney died Monday, June 9, 2008 at White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born August 15, 1938 at Imboden the daughter of Leslie and Velma Strange.
She was a 1955 graduate of Imboden High School. She was vice-president of the Foothills Plant Society and a charter member of the Bless My Bloomers Garden Club of Mount Pleasant. Marian was never happier than when she was entertaining friends and family or coaxing plant life out of the dirt. Be it the hard pan of suburban Oklahoma City or a rocky hilltop in Izard County, she was a relentless gardener. Among her many personal qualities, Marian was noted for her wry sense of humor, and her willingness to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
She was a member of Barren Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Mount Pleasant.
She is survived by her husband, J. T. Beary of Sidney; sons, Michael Beary and wife, Camille, and Joseph Beary and wife, Samantha, of Batesville; a sister, Ann King of Clarksville; a grandchild, Samuel Beary of Batesville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Barren Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Mount Pleasant with Brent Ballow officiating.
Pallbearers are Jeff Dunn, Nicholas Bray, David Bailey, Curtis Mynatt, Tim Lyons, and Sam Beary.
Interment will be at Barren Fork Cemetery at Mount Pleasant by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne. (870) 368-4540
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2008 at the funeral home.
