J.W. the son of Oscar and Daliah Cora Phillips. Doris Mae (Hilburn) Phillips the daughter of Darrell and Lillian (McMillon) Hilburn.


Doris Phillips July 10, 1934 - December 22, 2016

Doris Phillips, 82 of Walnut Ridge, died December 22, 2016 in the Lawrence Hall Nursing Center.

Born July 10, 1934 in Walnut Ridge; daughter of the late Darrell and Lillian (McMillon) Hilburn. She was united in marriage on November 15, 1952, to J.W. Phillips whom passed away November 6, 1999.

Doris was a nurse’s aid for most her life and a loving wife, mother, grandparent and friend.

Survivors include two daughters, Pam (Ronnie) Williams of Bono and Jimmie (Olen) Wilson of Imboden; four grandchildren, Tricia Noel, Phillip Sullivan, Kris Williams and Rohni West; six great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Private services will be announced by the family. Interment will be in the Lawrence Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Children’s Shelter in Walnut Ridge.
