SPRINGDALE — Reta Irene DeShields Parton, 63, of Springdale, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at Circle Of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born March 5, 1952, in Coos Bay, North Bend, Ore., to D.W. and Irene Hamilton DeShields.

Reta loved street rods and traveling with the family to events. She was an avid genealogist. She was the previous President of Pug Rescue of Northwest Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Howard DeShields.

Survivors include her spouse, Lendeal Parton of the home; one daughter, John and Tonya Williams of Fayetteville; one brother, Raymond DeShields; a nephew, Scotty and Gidget DeShields of Hiwassee; an exchange daughter, Lene Jorgenssen of Finnsnes, Norway; her pug children: Pops, Tigger, Tanner, Darla and Samantha.

Visitation will be at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale on Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m.

A graveside service will on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 2 p.m. at the Coffelt Cemetery in Vaughn, Ark., with Pastor Spanky Goett officiating.
