Louene Harpole Herndon, 70, of Conway, passed away Monday, December 31, 2007.
She was born October 15, 1937 in Rondo, AR to the late Samuel David Harpole and Annie Ethel "Dell" Barnett and was raised on a cotton farm.
She attended school in Marvel, AR, worked in home health care, and was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Brinkley, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, David Harpole, Boyd Harpole, and two sisters, Marie Harpole Durham, and Elleree Harpole Farris.
She is survived by a brother, Samuel "Jerry" Harpole of Garfield, AR, her twin, Gene Harpole of North Little Rock; two sisters, Eutrola "Bobbie" Harpole Black of Fort Worth, TX, and Jimma Lee Harpole Ludwig of Bossier City, LA; four children, Brenda Shaw and husband David of Greenbrier, James "Buddy" Herndon and wife Kathy of Vilonia, Johnny Herndon and wife Bridgette of Woodbridge, VA, and Jimmy Herndon of Sherwood; 13 grandchildren, Michele Clark, Michael Shaw, Brendan Shaw, Bailey Shaw, Brittany Fleming, Kody VanPelt, Alyssa Herndon, Matthew Herndon, Stephanie Herndon, Ashley Herndon, Jonathan Herndon, Kylee Herndon, and James Sick; five great-grandchildren, Lexie Shaw, Cole Shaw, Emmalee Shaw, Devin Clark, and Shelsea Clark; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Pastor J.N. Holmes officiating. Interment will follow at Old Texas Cemetery in Guy.
Visitation is Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Herndon, Brendan Shaw, Jonathan Herndon, Kody VanPelt, Michael Shaw, and Matthew Herndon.
