Nancy Alene Wolford 80 of Guy went to be with her Heavenly Father Thursday June 27, 2013. She was born November 15, 1932 in Izard County, Arkansas to Hayden Lawhon and Lula Marlin Lawhon. Mrs. Wolford was a Christian and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenbrier.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years J.P. Wolford of Guy, daughters Linda Fleming (George) of Conway, Diane Harris (Kevin) of Alexander, and Sharon Wolford of Alexander, son Alan Wolford of Alexander, and sister Shirley Jestice (Ed) of Alexander. Other survivors include grandchildren Kerrie Diaz, Shelley Fleming, Lorrie Fleming, Corissa Myers, Charles Moore, Allie Stenger, Luke Ledbetter, and Jessica Rollins, great grandchildren Caleb, Abigail, Karlee, Summer, Karson and Alyssa.

Visitation will begin at 3pm Tuesday July 2, 2013 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenbrier. The funeral service will follow at 4pm at Immanuel Baptist Church with Bro. Gaylon King and Bro. Tony Crocker officiating. Burial will follow in Copperas Springs cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Charles Moore, Luke Ledbetter, Jeff Justice, Brad Justice, Danny West, Marcus Diaz and Michael Rollins.

J P Wolford, age 84, of Guy, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Saturday May 7, 2016; He was born August 23, 1931 to the late Luther and Cora Wolford of Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Nancy Alene Wolford, in 2013 and grandson, Luke Ledbetter in 2014. He is survived by his sister, Mary Lou Snodgrass (Ken) of Mims, Florida; his three daughters, Linda Fleming (George) of Conway, Arkansas; Diane Harris (Kevin) of Bryant, and Sharon Wolford of Guy; son, Alan Wolford, of Bryant, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

JP retired from Teletype and AT&T Corporation after 33 years of service. In his retirement, he enjoyed cattle farming, summer gardening, tractor "collecting", playing guitar with the Pioneer Band, fishing with his grandkids and winning every game of Rook. JP was a loyal husband and dedicated family man. You couldn't help but laugh in his presence. JP loved the Lord and put Christ first in his family and work endeavors. He was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenbrier, Arkansas.

The Family welcomes all loved ones to visitation on Thursday, May, 12, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenbrier, Arkansas. With funeral immediately following at 2 p.m. at the church with Bro. Anthony Crocker officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Copperas Springs Cemetery of Guy, Arkansas. In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund. Arrangements by Bishop-Crites Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
