FORT SMITH, Ark.- Mary 'Polly' Caldwell, 79, of Fort Smith, died Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at her residence. She was born April 10, 1924, in Jonesboro, Ark., a former employee of Hallmark Homes, member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church, Love in Action Sunday School Class, and a graduate of Jonesboro in 1941. She worked in the media center at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Ga. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, February 27, 2004, at Grand Avenue Baptist Church with burial at 2:30 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Conway, Ark., under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith. She is survived by one daughter, Pollyanne Birmingham of Marietta; one sister, Geneva 'Jean' Coger of Fort Smith and one grandchild. Pallbearers will be Paul Fergeson, John M. Coger Sr., George L. Green, Wayne Rupe, John Coger Jr. John Coger III and Ronald Rutherford. Viewing will begin at noon on Thursday. The family will receive friend s from 6 to 8 p.m., at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel.
