Ovella Jane Marlin, 100, of Batesville died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at a Batesville nursing home.
Born Nov. 13, 1902, at Anderson, she was the daughter of Thomas L. and Josephine Chestnut Scribner. She was a homemaker and a member of 20th Street Baptist Church at Batesville.
Survivors include three daughters, Nola Weaver and Gail Howard, both of Batesville, and Winell Gibson of Springfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Marlin; a brother; and two sisters.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Carley Davis and Dwayne Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Yeager Cemetery at the Needmore community west of Evening Shade.
Pallbearers will be John Weaver, Larry Weaver, Bryan Weaver, Randy Gibson, Brent Gibson and Tim Howard.
