A funeral service for Mrs. Viola Lee Cory McKamy, 88, of Morrilton, AR, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9, at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 896 Highway 92, Plumerville, AR with Bro. Mike Cantrell and Bro. Michael Treat officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery by Harris Funeral Homes of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Thursday, at Harris Funeral Home-Morrilton, 118 South Moose St., Morrilton, AR. Mrs. McKamy passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014.

She was born September 2, 1925, in Detroit, MI, a daughter of Henry Cory and Affa N. "Davis" Cory. She was a homemaker, Pastor's wife, taught Sunday school for many years, made quilts for babies and newlyweds and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. McKamy formerly pastored Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Carthage. She was preceded in death by a son, Walter McKamy and a daughter, Joyce Harmon Bivens.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Bro. Charles McKamy of Morrilton; daughters, Wanda Martar and husband Ramon of Conway and Leah Sears and husband James of North Little Rock; daughter-in-law, Linda McKamy of Conway; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
