Harrel Poindexter Hesterly, 63, died Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church with burial in the Cross Roads Cemetery. He was the former owner of Harrel's Pharmacy, a past president of the Arkansas Pharmaceutical Association, and a member of the Rho Chi Pharmaceutical Society. He attended Chidester High School, Magnolia A & M, the University of Arkansas and graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Pharmacy. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the couple's bible class and a veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maudean Thompson Hesterly; one son, Harrel Hesterly Jr of Siloam Springs; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Garcia of Bearden; two sisters, Mrs. Bill Avant of Camden and Mrs. Jim Cowling of Bearden; and three grandchildren.
