Mrs. Georgia Mae (Loftin) Foster, 72, of Grubbs, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at UAMS in Little Rock. She was born May 11, 1941, in Ettowah, Arkansas, the daughter of William Robert and Oma (Street) Loftin.

Mrs. Foster graduated from Grubbs High School, then took a job in banking, and worked in that profession until she retired. She then became a caregiver, sitting with and taking care of people. Mrs. Foster was a long time member of the Grubbs Baptist Church, where she loved to sing in the choir, and help prepare meals for families during funerals. She loved to stay busy, serving her community and her church.

Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Daniel Foster; her only son, William Daniel "Danny" Foster; two brothers, Harold Loftin and Caraway Loftin and his wife, Margaret; three sisters, Beatrice Fields and husband Herbert, Beulina Henderson and husband Charlie, and Evelyn Scott and husband Bud; two brothers-in-law, Albert Jackson and J.R. Laird; and her parents.

She is survived by her grandson, Grady Daniel Foster II of Cave City; three sisters, Oma Gene Laird of Memphis, Tennessee, Covia Jackson of Newport, and Vina King and husband Claude of Amagon; a sister in law, Jean Loftin of Grubbs; seven nieces; and eight nephews.

Friends may visit at the funeral home, Wednesday, March 5, 2014, 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Ballew's Chapel Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Michael Critcher, Mark Summers, Herman Skaggs, Dalton Crotts, Allen Tennyson, and Gary Easter. Honorary pallbearers are the Ladies of Grubbs First Baptist Church, Charlene Britt, Claudia King, Anna Obbards, Brenda Hurst, and her friends at Oakdale Country Estates, especially Ms. Wilma.
