Betty A. Rhynes, age 63, of Emerson died Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Summit Health & Rehab of Taylor, AR. Betty was born April 24, 1951 in Emerson, AR. She is the daughter of the late William Darnese and the late Christell "Nell" George. She married Roger "Sherry" Rhynes on August 6, 1969. Together they enjoyed 45 years of marriage.


Betty is survived by her husband: Roger "Sherry" Rhynes and one daughter: La'Tanga Rhynes of Muskegon Heights, MI; two sisters: Katherine George of Muskegon Heights, MI, Arma (Morse) Brown of Livonia, MI; three brothers: Louis (Melva) Robinson of Chicago, IL, Darnese (Clara) George, Jr. of Broadview, IL, and Billy Glen (Neva) George of Cedar Hill, TX. She also has four grandchildren; one grandson who was raised in her home, Rogerio of Emerson, AR; and Delechia, DiQuan, and James, Jr of Muskegon Heights, MI; and one aunt, Sylvester "Aunt Syl" Glover of Detroit, MI.


Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, at Glover Memorial COGIC Church, Highway 79, Emerson. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Emerson, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.


Visitation will be Friday, February 27, from noon until 4 at the funeral home, 614 Calhoun Rd, Magnolia. Online guestbook available at www.hendersonsmortuary.com.
