A. L. Dopson, 59, of Rt. 1, Box 28, Strong, died Monday in Shreveport, La. Mr. Dopson is survived by: his widow, Mrs. Frances Irene Dopson of Strong; one son, Thomas Dopson of Hamburg; three daughters, Mrs. Jaxine Salter of Conway, Mrs. Maxine Gates of Strong and Mrs. Ann Harlon of Bossier City, La; one sister, Lizzie Dopson of Strong; and 17 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Union Methodist Church in Strong with Rev. A. L. Chaffin officiating. Burial will follow in Strong Cemetery under the direction of Pratt's Funeral Home. (The El Dorado Times - January 5, 1965)
