The Rev. Otis C. Epperson, 83, retired Presbyterian minister, died Wednesday afternoon at his home in Chidester, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Nevada County, the son of William and Laura Womble Epperson, and was educated at Auburn Theological Seminary in Alabama, and in Lincoln, Ill. He was the former pastor of the Chidester Presbyterian Church, and also had pastorates in Sheldon, N.D., Ellicottville, N.Y., Vincennes, Ind., and several churches in Arkansas. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Chidester Presbyterian Church, with burial in the Chidester Cemetery, by Proctors. The Rev. Mr. Epperson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bene Gene Canfield Epperson, one daughter, Mrs. R. B. Dehies of Villa Park, Ill., one sister, Mrs. W. N. Aarant of Chidester, and four grandchildren.
