FAYETTEVILLE — Bernice A. (Silvis) Allen, 85 of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, in Springdale, Ark. She was born July 3, 1926, in Pettigrew, Ark., to Charles A. Silvis and Rebecca (Williams) Silvis.
She was a former employee of Pacific Telephone & Telegraph, Southwestern Bell, and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Fayetteville.
She is survived by her husband, Fred A. Allen; one daughter, Ann Holbrook and her husband Martin of Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, in the chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Private burial will be held at Stuckey Cemetery in Johnson, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Life Source International, 600 South School Ave., Fayetteville, AR 72701.

FAYETTEVILLE - Fred A. Allen, 91, passed away July 17, 2015 in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born June 18, 1924, in Prairie Grove, Ark. to Jess and Effie Howell Allen.
He worked for Lockheed Aircraft, was a veteran of World War II, and later retired from the Coca-Cola Company. He was a member of Fayetteville First Assembly of God Church.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Edith; and wife, Bernice Silvis Allen.
He is survived by his daughter, Ann Holbrook and husband Martin of Fayetteville, several cousins, and many friends from his church and the Nantucket Retirement Community.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 23, 2015, in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Smith officiating.
Our heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful caregivers, nursing staff, and schedulers at BrightStar. We could not have persevered without you.
