Mrs. Mattie N. Lancaster, aged 98, of Rt. 1, Camden, died Thursday. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Silver Springs. She was a life-long resident of Ouachita County. She is survived by two sons, Bob and Neil Lancaster, both of Stephens; seven daughters, Mrs. Katie Tribble of Stephens, Mrs. Emma Lusby of Springhill, La., Mrs. Willie Lusby, Mrs. Callie Sanders, Mrs. Mary Jenkins, Mrs. Honer Lusby and Mrs. Dashtie Pinkerton, all of Camden; 44 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Silver Springs Methodist Church. Burial will be in Reddick Cemetery under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home. (Camden News - July 29, 1971)
