Susie Mardula Lee, 78, of Guy left this earth for her heavenly home on August 16, 2015. She was born on May 3, 1937 to the late Harvey and Bronnie (Traywick) Stevenson. She was a charter member of Copperas Springs Baptist Church and a member of the VFW auxiliary.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Marvin of 60 years, her children Larry Lee (Nancy), Terry Lee (Ellen), Sheila Pennington (Jeff), Saundra Troutte (Charles), and Tony Lee (Cindy), 6 grandchildren; Blake Kimble, Jeff Lee, Jamie Lee, Taylor Lee, Brittney Flowers, and Will Pennington, 2 great granddaughters; Haliegh and Kennedy Flowers. She is also survived by four brothers, Wayne Stevenson (Dorothy), Clark Stevenson (Linda), David Stevenson (Lisa) all of Guy, Tommy Stevenson of North Little Rock, and a host of other family and friends. Her husband and children saw her live a life that was Christ centered. She was most proud of being a wife, a mother and a granny. Mardula was also a special “granny” to lots of kids.
Mardula loved life and enjoyed fellowship with family, friends and neighbors. Her face radiated peace, joy, and goodness. She lived out the description of the virtuous woman described in Proverbs 31. To her husband her children and her family she was a beautiful spirit and loving soul. We know she was praised by our Lord and Savior as he welcomed her into his kingdom. While we grieve for our loss, it is comforting to know she is at peace, healed, healthy and safe in the arms of our Lord and we will be reunited with her in heaven one day.
A celebration of her home going will be 6:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday at Copperas Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 10 o’clock Wednesday August 19th at Copperas Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Burdin and Bro. Dustin Burdin officiating. Interment will be at Copperas Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ricky Wiedower, Steven Thorn, Bradley Stevenson, Johnny Wilson, Jim Fielder, Glenn Stevenson. Honorary pallbearers are Blake Kimble, Jeff Lee, Taylor Lee and Will Pennington.
