Fletcher Trotter, 82, Business Leader, Dies.
Special to the Gazette
Stuttgart, April 28.- Fletcher Trotter, 82, president of the Standard Grocer Company here since 1922 and former vice president of the First National bank here, died at his home today. A native of Carrollton, Mo., he moved to Roe about 40 years ago. He opened a mercantile business there and operated it for 30 years. Coming to Stuttgart in 1922, he assumed the presidency of the grocer company. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p. m. Friday at the Turpin funeral home by the Rev. J. Marion Stafford, former pastor of the Stuttgart Presbyterian church, assisted by the Rev. J. P. Snipes. Burial will be in Lone Tree cemetery.
