John L. Jelley, 81, of Rt. 1, Junction City, died unexpectedly at his home Saturday morning. He was the son of Buck and Georgia Ann Jolley. Mr. Jolley was a member of the Trinity Chapel Assembly of God Church and a lifelong resident of Union County. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Alice Jolley of Junction City; two daughters, Mrs. R. F. Wasson of Rotan, Tex., and Mrs. Bob Farmer of Arlington, Tex.; three sons, Ellis Jolley of Bossier City, La., R. C. Jolley of El Dorado, and Jessie B. Jolley of Junction City. The body remained at the residence until 1 p.m. Monday at which time it was taken to Bailey Funeral Home in Haynesville, La., where funeral services were conducted by Rev. Erling Saxlid and Rev. George Huff. Burial followed in Jolley Cemetery on Highway 15. Pallbearers were Don Jolley, Hubert Jolley, Harry Jolley, Jolley Wasson, John Wasson, Bobby Farmer, Kenneth Farmer, and Billy Ray Davis, all grandsons of Mr. Jolley.
